Had a fun day at the zoo with our fav family from daycare. We figured our kids share space everyday so why can’t we 🤷🏽♀️. All indoor places closed. Wore masks when unable to be socially distanced from strangers. We saw some animals, the kids fed giraffes, we saw more animatronic dinosaurs (Riv’s words ) drank some cold Shandy’s...it was a good day. ✌🏽
Been a busy weekend for us over here, but glad we were able to spend some time outside in the sun since Riley loves her walks. Anything to make her smile! [But thankful for air conditioning inside the house after those walks, for sure lol] 💗 Are your kids more of the indoorsy or outdoorsy type? 🤔 #toddlerlife #playroomfun #thatsmiletho #myminime #oureverydaymoments
I needed this reminder today! . .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm dealing with a sick toddler and that means that 95% of my time, energy, and focus is either given or demanded by him. Even when he doesn't want me, he still wants me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . . I had really big plans this weekend and I was looking forward to being really productive. I was going to get some food prepping done, lots of laundry, clean out the fridge (if you get my weekly email then you know all about this ), get work done with my blog and coaching, go for walks, read, get work done for Corrina Beck Photography and Design, and get the house cleaned up.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . . I did get the fridge cleaned today and the towels washed but only becausemy husband agreed to stay inside (he'sa farmer ) so I could get those things done. I know that is an accomplishment and I am reminding myself that I deserve grace . Giving ourselves grace when things get hard is one of the toughest things to do. But practice will make somewhat perfect.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . . Tomorrow will be a trip back to the clinic because I'm sure Colvin has an ear infection (he didn't on Friday but is showing the signs now ) along with Coralie who's ear now hurts when she blows her nose. Hopefully relief for both of them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . . If things have been hard for you and you are beating yourself up, remember to practice grace with yourself. It's okay if supper is all you get done today. ❤⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #farmlifefarmwife #pixiehairstyle #southdakotalife #southdakotaproud #southdakotaliving #beingamom #tiredmomma #tiredmama #3kidslater #lifewithlittles #lifewith3kids #pixiecuts #stressedmom #pixiehair #todolists #tiredmomma #tiredmama #sahmproblems #wondermom #momoflittles #chickenlady #sahm #sahmproblems #sahmlife #wahmlife #stressedmama #momselfcare #toddlermom
The first day of school is upon us! One of our wonderful Waterford Base Camp volunteers, Krystal Ritchey, wrote a blog post titled The Last “First Day”. In it, she beautifully reflects on the thirteen first days of school she's had with her daughter, and how she is praying and preparing for the future. 🍎 🎒 Krystal says, "The constant in all of the first days is God. He redeems all the ugly of uncertainty for my good, though I can only see it clearly in hindsight. All the fears of the unknown lurking, taunting and antagonizing me fall silent under declaration of who God is: ALL-POWERFUL. ALL-KNOWING. ETERNAL. CREATOR." 🙌 🙌 To hear more about Krystal's last "first day," check out her Base Camp blog post! Photo a Day (221/365 ): 'happy place’ 🌈🐶 Everly isn’t the only one who loves the rainbow clubhouse! 💤
I had such a great time celebrating this mama-to-be! So excited to meet that little boy! It’s always great to see friends. 😍
How are things where you are? Are you back on lockdown? Venturing out more? Gearing up to send the kids back to school? Or are they e-learning this year? Or just taking it day by day? Through this whole season, I have been so thankful for my bootcamps. It is incredible to have a positive place on the internet, filled with other ladies working on their goals, no matter what life is like right now. We brainstorm together, we workout together, we laugh together, and it is just so nice to BE together! Another thing I love? We are pushing through this hard season, leaning on each other for community and connection, and making sure to keep our eating healthy and our workouts on point. I provide weekly meal plans, so we don’t have to figure out what to eat and I have been trying new recipes that I always earmark but don’t have time for! If you are craving connection and in need of support… we will welcome you with open arms! Type ME below if you would like more info!
I know some days are hard mama. I know it’s hard to get up everyday and have little humans rely on you all day. Maybe you feel what you are doing isn’t credited or valid. I know it’s hard to sometimes feel your world is so small. But let me remind you today... You are the world. You are the world those littles ones revolve around. You are their nurture, their home, their comfort. Your biggest accomplishment in this life, is who you raised. You are everything to them, and I hope even on your hard days you know how special and valuable you are. Especially to your little people.
𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹. But...I’m not talking about relinquishing control. No, I’m talking about controlling the controllable. Our lives seem to be a bit of chaos right now with something going on every single day and for this type-A mama - I need some type of organization or my stress & anxiety is through the roof 🤯 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗱𝗼? I choose to spend my Sundays getting organized to help me feel like I AM in control. If you’re like me - try some of these steps. ✨ Mapping out my week and plugging in my commitments with a set time first - Jayden’s classes/camps...my meetings/calls...etc. ✨ I do a brain dump - spilling out any and all things I need to get done. If it crosses my mind, it goes on there! ✨ Next, I look ahead - I glance at my calendar for the week and note what is a priority and what needs my main focus. These 3 simple steps, help me feel in so much more control. Sure...life might through me curveballs but it’s how I control what I can physically control. Going to bed on Sunday with a peaceful mind allows me to conquer the week ahead with excitement instead of feeling like I’m chasing a train that’s already taken off. 💙 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝘂𝘁? 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲? 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲! ⤵️
Just add Advil. Look good & feel better after a night of @whiteclaw with these all stars. Even if you just need that quick pick me up. I created this bundle of goodies to go from drab to fab in less than 2 minutes. Sharing some light as we head into those Sunday scaries. Wishing you all a week of happiness and positivity! ✌🏼
The kids and I are making a jar with little notes of the places we want to go and things we want to do once restrictions are over. A way to keep looking forward.⠀ ⠀ Some of these are really simple things ⠀ - visit the creek near Grandads⠀ - go ten pin bowling⠀ - have a sleep over party with friends⠀ - FINALLY visit Lego land⠀ ⠀ Others are going further afield such as having a weekend at Cowes, Phillip Island where this photo was taken of my beautiful niece. The simplicity of afternoons spent playing on the beach with family. ⠀ ⠀ Keep doing the right thing everyone and stay home. Feel free to join in our idea to help yourself look forward also.⠀ ⠀ #laurenmurphyphotography #filmphotography ⠀ ⠀
The kids enjoyed farm life at Pappy’s ❤️🐖🐄🐓

#sorrynotsorry 😂 for all of the #mbf around here lately, but I can't help but be OBSESSED with it. This past week, I lost ANOTHER 2 pounds and 3 inches for a total of 7 pounds and 16 inches in one month 😍😍. Yeah, I'm patting myself on the back, but I'm just so PROUD of my hard work 💪🏼 I used to believe that at home workouts could NEVER work 🙅♀️. I mean, I couldn't afford to have all of the equipment at home, so what the hell was I supposed to use at home?! I didn't really know what to do at the gym. I would just pinterest workouts, or copy moves I did with friends, so there is no way I would know what to do at home. I followed my coach and a few others, and watched how they were working out at home and getting results i was dreaming of! Some were retiring from their jobs because they were MATCHING their corporate income from getting healthy at home and helping others do the same!! Once I had M, I decided that I could do these at home workouts AND I could be a bomb coach. I still have my moments where the mean girl in my head comes out, but this program is making her shut up and sit down! Becoming a coach has only helped me stay on this journey. If I wasn't a coach, I probably would have quit by now🙃. I am so thankful for our team, and the support + friendship that keeps pushing me forward!!❤❤❤ Maybe becoming a coach could help you continue to push when the journey gets hard! Monday + Tuesday, we will be hosting a sneak peek into coaching! DM or comment below if you want to see if it could be for you! I cannot wait to see you in there!!
Just a mum, trying to work from home, teach and spilt herself between two littles... end result Christmas in August. If nearly 5 years of “Annika-isms” has taught me anything.. you are either with her or against her. So today I am taking the path of least resistance.. Merry Christmas everyone.. 🎄🎅
So. Many. Opinions. I’m aware that all my hippie ways are bound to draw in some people that don’t agree and that’s fine, but the amount of UNsolicited negativity lately is outta control y’all. 😆 I rarely shower, don’t use soap on my body, don’t wear deodorant, rarely shave, drink ridiculous amount of water, bone broth and kombucha, rarely wear a bra, believe in eating simple and whole foods, we rarely use medications in our home, we are homeschooling, we are currently getting rid of most of our stuff so we can downsize and then live in a school bus while we search for our forever homestead to build a container farmhouse, we have tons of babies and want more, our next birth will be a home birth, we are prayerfully waiting to foster and/or once we have our homestead, we absolutely will never vaccinate again, we have dreams of being completely off grid and self sustained. I could go on and on, but I get it. None of it is “normal” according to current society. But current society isn’t what we want to be a part of. I’m not saying do those things. I’m saying, recognize that we are because it’s the path that God has laid before us. Find your thing, be bold and do it well for Him. ✌🏼
Happiness comes in waves. So remember to schedule self-care. Fourth trimester feels 💕 Enduring pregnancy through a pandemic is not easy for any expecting mom or dad. And having a fourth trimester experience in a pandemic is not what any of us envisioned. With this being my third babe, I knew what to expect during this phase. I knew what my body would go through. I knew about the exhaustion to the core, and emotional overload. The fleeting newborn moments and the desire to not miss a single moment. But I also remember how vital support of all kinds is during the newborn days. Support that many moms are now lacking during a time of Covid-19. ✨Someone to hold the baby so mom can shower. ✨Someone to have a conversation with that isn’t your toddler. ✨Someone to make a meal for mom so she doesn’t have to ✨Someone who has walked the path before to tell you that you are rocking motherhood on days it feels like you barely surviving. ✨Someone to clean up a little so that your house only looks like a mini disaster. ✨Someone to shower your other children with attention so that you get a few uninterrupted newborn kisses. I see you, mama. This fourth trimester may not be what any of us expected. But it will be over in a blink. And this is the fourth trimester experience that we were always meant to share together. I could not be more thankful to be sharing this time with this exact little human 💕
I thought my love for Sarah knew no limit. Until tonight when she suddenly lost her bracelet. I could hear her quietly crying all the way in the other room— The bathroom. “My bracelet! My bracelet!” We both stare down together. Yes, I love her. But to go fishing in the murky waters of preschooler excrement? That is where I draw the line.
☀️ AFTER SUN RELIEF SPRAY ☀️ It is HOT here in Vegas and playing outside in the water is the best way for this family of 6 to beat the heat! While we are good about putting on our mineral based sunscreen, sometimes you just get a little too much sun and your skin feels it! I love using this after sun skin spray to help cool the skin and provide moisture and support to heal quickly. This works great for kids as well! ☀️ In a 4 oz spray bottle add: 1️⃣ 10-20 drops each of Lavender, Frankincense, Peppermint, and Tea Tree. (Feel free time add in any other skin supporting oils you’d like ). 2️⃣ Add 1-2 tablespoons of FCO 3️⃣ Fill the rest with water 👉🏼 Shake and spray on the skin as needed! I got this beautiful glass ombré bottle from @oil .life. Use my promo code ‘JHUNT5’ for $5 off! What’s your fav thing to beat the heat right now? #sunburnrelief #aftersunspray #skinsupport #essentialoilsforskin #toomuchsun
We see colors. Black lives still matter! ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻 Yesterday we did a coloring session with Mesa using @craloya new Colors of the World crayons. He helped us pick the closest possible color that match his doll friends William and Celia skin tone. They’re Black and Brown 🖤🤎 PSA: Crayola created a new crayon pack with colors that range from Light Golden, Deep Almond and Medium Deep Rose. Such a beautiful inclusive skin tone palette. I wish I had this when I was young. Good thing is it’s only $1.xx so mama won’t gone nuts when littles breaking them into pieces 😅 I know you can relate! #hbtcolorsoftheworld #hbtsponsored #TrueSelfie #crayola #crayolacrayons #crayolacolorsoftheworld

Babies love faces! This is why a mirror is a great thing for a baby to play with 👶🏼 Mirrors help babies explore - they may even reach out to touch the “baby” in the mirror. Games such as peek-a-boo can be extra fun with a mirror! Who's had a job since she was 16?! Me!!🙋🏻 At the beginning of our marriage it was very strange for me to trust someone in providing for me and I always wanted to be able to contribute. That has evolved over the years as I stopped teaching, started my photography business and now health & fitness as well. Corey works very hard to provide for our family and I don't NEED to work thankfully but I feel a sense of pride when I can contribute and do work I'm also passionate about! I'm so thankful that pouring into others and helping them to reach their goals has also brought me such fulfillment! I'm also so thankful for a supportive husband that cheers me on and celebrates these victories with me!!🙌🏼 How would an extra stream of income bless your family?? Could it help with your kids’ activities, groceries, paying down debt, that monthly pedicure or anything else?! If this speaks to your heart I’d love to include you in our ALL ABOUT COACHING group this week! Just a few days to learn what it is I do everyday as a coach, how I earn an income and how this has been such a blessing! Comment below or shoot me a message and I will get you added to the group!
Embrace your #mombod 💁🏼♀️ I may not be the skinniest mom. I’m not the prettiest & I’m terrible at makeup and skincare. I’m not really organized & we’re not on a strict schedule. I’m not the healthiest & probably never will be. But I feel like I’m one of the happiest. And isn’t that what life’s all about anyways? Too often we spend time sulking in the comparison game and not enough time enjoying the moment. Being a stay at home mom is probably the most mentally exhausting thing I’ve ever been through. But I try so hard to stress less & laugh more. We watch a lot of movies, we eat too many popsicles and Lord knows we stay up too late.. But these moments don’t last forever & I’ll be damned if I waste them. 𝒮𝑜 𝑒𝓂𝒷𝓇𝒶𝒸𝑒 𝒾𝓉. Embrace the body that’s been through hell & back. Embrace the mood swings. Embrace the tough days & definitely the good ones. Embrace the mom friends & the nights out. Embrace it all. Life is too short & you deserve to be 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 💖
It’s important to remember that the self-care that helps us look and feel our best is typically based around meeting our most basic needs. Don’t minimize the small stuff. Fancy self care strategies are cool but if you don’t have a solid foundation or believe your basic needs deserve to be met, you probably won’t have as much of a payoff when you do the big stuff. Diets seem great in theory but continually fail when you don’t have concrete knowledge of what works best for you and how to eat in a way that is sustainable. That’s why they keep feeling. Training programs are awesome, but you have to be able to show up for yourself and do the work. Spa days, girls trips, and that new dress you’ve been eyeing can give you a boost in the moment but they won’t offer long term rewards if you’re dealing with mom guilt, judgement, or feeling like you can never come first. Self-care has to be about addressing the root causes, not just the symptoms. Double tap if you’re building a solid foundation ❤️
Throwback to last weekend at a family bbq, when we put Elijah in the cutest outfit ever😭 However, he did the biggest poo in the car on the way there, was literally pouring out of the shorts and all up his back, so it was only us who actually got to see it! This has been my hardest breastfeeding journey thus far... You’d think 3rd kid in this would be a breeze right? Not even kind of. First of all, how quickly I forgot how hard this is no matter what the circumstances. How draining. How all consuming. To feel like your body just is not your own. The loneliness of being the sole source of sustenance for a tiny human. The pain. The hunger. The tears. The sleep deprivation. Oh the sleep deprivation. Then, with Nyomi, came the lip and tongue tie. A whole new challenge to tackle. In the middle of a pandemic when resources are beyond limited. I’ve felt like a failure over and over again when she screamed and cried, when she refused to eat, when she wouldn’t stop trying to eat, when it hurt like hell, when neither of us slept. I’ve felt like giving up. I’ve been overwhelmed with guilt. I mean...I fed the first two for a year each - how could I even think of giving up now?! This week, there’s finally a light in the tunnel. After getting the ties snipped and an excruciatingly long week of recovery, we’re doing better. And when Remy, my first baby, picked up her doll and took off her shirt to feed HER baby...I saw all my hard work in all it’s beauty. She looked into her baby’s eyes with such love and spoke with such patience and kindness to her. The moment was..perfect. I must be doing something right. She’s been watching... Breastfeeding is hard. It doesn’t come easily to everyone, it’s not even possible for everyone. It may not even be every moms choice. And that’s okay. I hope we can all release the guilt. The pain. The judgements. The opinions. The questioning. The worry. See the beauty. Embrace the tiny moments. The squeezed fingers and locked eyes. Feel the warmth of that little body next to ours. And remember that no matter what, at the end of the day, we are just trying to do what’s best. We are giving all of ourselves to this tiny human. And that’s beautiful. #nationalbreastfeedingweek #nationalbreastfeedingmonth #normalizebreastfeeding . . . #breastfeedingawarenessweek #breastfeedingawarenessmonth #breastfeedingmom #breastfeedingjourney #likemotherlikedaughter
