Two weeks ago I was moving my sofa and it slipped and fell on my thumb, giving me a deep cut that honestly probably needed stitches. Being stubborn, I let it heal on its own and although the cut is better my thumb is still swollen and recovering slowly. I struggled to pick up a glass to drink from, wash my hair and most heartbreakingly…play Fortnite. Then last week I had to get a little procedure done on my foot that hasn’t allowed me to walk properly on it. Combined with physiotherapy for my neck and migraines…it’s been a STRUGGLE. But throughout all of these small, nonsensical injuries, all I could think about were the people who live with conditions much more challenging and for longer periods of time. For some, even a lifetime. All of the little things I take for granted every single day, from walking to breathing to hearing my favourite song are legit miracles and privileges I have been given. So as I sit here and complain like a baby over my tiny foot injury, to all the people out there facing the world with any type of disability, I want to say I SEE YOU AND YOU’RE DOPE. The world doesn’t even make life necessarily easy for you and you’re still out here thriving, doing great things and showing up everyday. You inspire me. Truly.
Just finished a difficult shoot in the blazing heat. Ever since COVID changed the world, I’ve been doing shoots with a crew consisting of myself and my wonderful editor @friedpotayters and dang it’s been a challenge. Between us two, we do the lighting, set design, props, acting, sound and camera operation. Not to mention our usual jobs of writing and editing. Today in 36 degrees of sweltering heat I shot outside in a sweater because the character called for it and man the pain was real. But that’s the dance. I love what I do so much and I’m so grateful everyday for the opportunity to create. So we will continue to do the damn thing and hustle harder 💪🏽 thanks for being here for the ride. I really love what we shot today and can’t wait for you to see it ❤️
Irritating aunties? Uncles forcing you to dance? Ruthless grandmas who comment about your weight? Avoid them all with the newest version of Citizen App called Relative. All of the family, none of the drama 😂 jokes aside though, developers hit me up so we can make this a real thing. Tag all your cousins who have been forced to dance at a family party by a drunk uncle. 🙏🏽 full video link in my bio!
Danced for 18 seconds on Tik Tok and proceeded to sweat profusely. Can the youths please slow down... 😭😂 ps what song should I dance to next?
I never thought I’d say this but quarantine got me missing all them sweaty dudes in the club... 😫 especially Secrets in Brampton, Cocktail House in Pickering and Lost and Found in downtown Toronto. Happy Canada Day. I miss you ❤️🇨🇦 (PS follow me on Tik Tok @Lilly fammmmm )
When you forget your mask... 😂 real talk though people, it’s still a pandemic. Wear that dang mask!! Sending lots of love and chocolate to everyone menstruating right now. You think ovaries could cut us some slack during a pandemic but NAH. ❤️🍫
I finally took my ashy armpits to Tik Tok. And of course my mom followed me.
Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate and commemorate the emancipation of slaves in the US. It was in 1865 when thousands of enslaved Texans were officially released in accordance with the Emancipation Proclamation, though the declaration had officially ended slavery more than two years earlier. This was the first step in the continued fight towards equal rights in America. As a Canadian, I have to admit that I didn’t know a lot about this but I’ve been learning! This day is a reminder that although it’s been said, equal rights is far from our current position. Please join me in educating ourselves and continuing to fight #BlackLivesMatter ✊🏽 Swipe right to learn how to educate yourselves on Juneteenth and check out the link in bio for resources.
If Zoom meetings were honest 😂 I’d definitely stop pretending like I don’t hear all your background noise. Also, anyone else never know what facial expressions to make?! I’m either too serious or a circus clown. 🤡 Shout outs to one of my favorite creators @jaerichards who is not only hilarious but fellow Toronto family. Make sure you check him and his brother @treyrichards out because I legit ugly laugh cry watching their stuff. Putting more collabs on my vision board!! Comment 💻🔨 if you relate to the Zoom struggle!
Shouting out @thekellystamps whom I just recently discovered but I can already tell is an overall beautiful soul! Kelly is a hilarious content creator who has made me laugh more in the past few weeks than I’ve laughed all year (hashtag 2020 ). Truly, after I discovered her, I’ve been obsessed. From vlogs, to self-care, and random car talks, Kelly brings you so much happiness through the screen. And her comedic timing is everything. Be sure to check out my story to see highlights of Kelly and follow the links to her channel! If you want more resources to help the Black community, check out the link in my bio. #BlackLivesMatter

In real life and on screen, you can feel her energy within seconds. You’ll be better because of it. She makes content ranging from travel, lifestyle, cooking, personal growth, and self-care. Not only are we fighting against systemic oppression alongside our Black and Aboriginal friends, but today marks the 36th anniversary of Operation Bluestar, the beginning of coordinated brutality against Sikhs across India. My heart is heavy with the weight of so many injustices, past and present, but we gain resilience through our unity. Let us never forget, let us never be silent, let us share our stories and amplify the stories of others. Let us all do our part to be the justice we want to see in the world. If your heart also feels the weight and you’re not quite sure how to handle it, please know I am here with you. Holding you close ❤️ (beautiful artwork by @inkquisitive )
I feel the need to be very real and transparent right now because the world doesn’t need more noise. I know for some of us, who cannot share the exact experience of Black people, it often feels uncertain and uncomfortable to talk about what’s happening in this country. I also know as as public figure, that very often it can feel like you can do no right. Post something and be damned or don’t post something and be damned. Maybe you fear you’ll say something incorrect. I can tell you from experience that people will probably comment and say “this isn’t enough” or “why aren’t you talking about xyz issue”. Or maybe you feel the opposite and think how can one person make a difference. There are so many reasons that live within your comfort zone as to why you shouldn’t speak up. And I’m here to say… EFF THEM ALL. Now is the time to decide what you want to stand for, no matter how uncomfortable it is. People are hurting. I don’t have all the answers and I don’t know how to save all the people of the world. But I know that Black people are being killed and our action has led to the arrests of racist people who deserve to be prosecuted. I know that doing something is better than doing nothing. I’ve said time and time again that I was raised amongst Black culture and chances are you’ve also enjoyed it (actually... I know you have ), so now it’s time to stand behind that same culture. It’s time to be allies who take action and walk the walk. Because this is not a Black person problem, this is everyone’s problem. This is the world WE live in. How: 1 ) Have those difficult conversations. I’ve had them with members of my family and yes they’ve been very frustrating but very necessary 2 ) Educate yourselves and others on why the response “ #AllLivesMatter ” takes away from the issue at hand. #BlackLivesMatter 3 ) Follow @grassrootslaw and @rachel .cargle. I’ve found them to be a great resource. Please comment others down below. 4 ) If you haven’t already, sign the petitions for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery. Link in bio on ways to donate. Please be safe. ❤️ Illustration by @emilyras
I’m disgusted. I’m heartbroken for George Floyd and his family. I’ve observed people focusing on all types of things recently. Mindlessly focusing their energy on drama, scandals, cancelling people, pretending to get offended at literally ANYTHING (like bending a knee? ) and it honestly enrages me. Why? Because THIS is a problem and THIS DESERVES YOUR ENERGY. We need to get our priorities straight. Things like this should be bothering you. Black people are being killed and people are still out here acting aloof about it. Learn about what’s happening and speak up anyway you can. And why there is ANY question that these officers should be prosecuted just makes me want to scream. I’m sorry this country isn’t doing better for you 💔 #BlackLivesMatter
Windy day on the beach? Someone as extra as me knows how to make it count... until I realize running in the sand is hard haha 😂 • Love goofing around and doing the most. As you may have noticed, my Madhuri video got taken down because some company somewhere got mad I used 4 seconds of their song in a fun little tribute that I made zero dollars from. So in the spirit of not learning my lesson, here is me Laal Dupattaing and if anyone is upset about the Dupattaing then I’m sorry but the Dupatta was Laal and the video basically made itself. I’m sorry for copyright infringement to all the Laal Dupattas out there, please apologize to them for me 🙏🏽

Showering, clothing and make up has all become optional. You know what’s not optional? Helping each other during this time. The GoFundMe I started for a dear fan named Torie still needs your love. Please help cover the costs associated with her mother’s passing. She’s young and sweet and shouldn’t have to deal with this alone. If you’re not able to help rn I understand but I also know some of y’all have a little extra to spare. Aka all my rich friends reading this, click the link in my bio and let’s get this to the goal. I see you posing in your pools... 👀 c’mon boo, it’s for a good cause. I’ve made the first donation and will continue to tend to this like my baby but your help is appreciated. ❤️ thank youuuuuuuuu x
Candid photo while attending a wedding or poster for a new Bollywood movie where @humblethepoet and I both like the same girl and now we have to dance battle to prove our love? You decide. Also, don’t let this photo fool you. During quarantine, I’ve grown a longer beard than Humble. #MuchaKundiyan (outfit by @sahibafashions )
